On the last weekend of October, on a gloriously sunny and warm day, Anna and James became husband and wife. The fall colors were in their final peak display and Anna and James’ terracotta and navy color palette perfectly complimented the fall colors they were surrounded by.

We started the day off with all the girls at a cute little airbnb close to the church. I captured their detail photos while Deirdre captured candids of all the bridesmaids finishing up hair and make up and then it was time to get Anna dressed! Her mom and two sisters helped her into her dress and then we brought her dad up for a special little first look with him.

Once everyone was ready to go, we headed to their church, the beautiful and historic St. Joseph’s in Maumee, Ohio. Since Anna and James were not doing a First Look, they chose to pray together behind a corner of the church right before the ceremony. One of the most special things about their wedding ceremony was that James’s uncle was able to be the main celebrant of their Nuptial Mass. James’s uncle is Bishop Coffey, an auxiliary Bishop for the military, and he shared in his homily that this was an incredibly special moment for him because he had had the honor of being the celebrant for James’s parent’s wedding twenty-plus years ago, as well as baptizing James when he was a baby.

After their Ceremony, we went to a nearby park for photos and found the most spectacular yellow trees to use for photos. I’m not kidding when I say these trees were just showing off and I am truly obsessed with the results!

Their reception was at Parkway Place Events and was filled with so much joy and laughter (which is so clearly seen in all the photos). The whole day was such a perfect finale to all my October weddings!

Anna and James, it has been so good getting to know you both and it was such an honor to photograph your wedding!
