Briana and Dan’s February wedding took place on a beautiful winter day! Their wedding Mass was at the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France (The Old Cathedral) which is situated directly next to the iconic St. Louis Gateway Arch. Despite having been to St. Louis several times now, I had never been to this church before, and it is absolutely gorgeous! Even now, as I look through these photos, I can’t get over how much I love the architecture and colors of this church.

Both Briana and Dan have a genuine joy and warmth that complement each other beautifully and highlight the wonderful characteristics that drew them together. They share a love of creativity and adventure and love exploring coffeeshops and bookstores, so it was only natural that they wanted to include coffee and books into their wedding. They chose to have an adorable mobile coffee cart come during their cocktail hour (shoutout to BeanSprout Coffee Cart), and of course, we had to get photos of them with their coffee of choice! They also used old books and scrabble tiles as their centerpieces for their reception, which I loved! The end result was so beautiful and so perfectly on brand for Briana and Dan!

Since it was a winter day, we didn’t spend too long outside for photos but we did make sure to get some iconic shots outside the Old Cathedral with the Arch and then when we got to Silver Oaks Chateau, we braved the cold once more for a few snowy sunset & outdoor fireplace photos. I’m pretty sure those are my favorite portraits from this day! However, thankfully, Silver Oaks has a beautiful interior with huge picture windows and wood beams, which meant we were able to get stunning interior portraits as well, (always a blessing at winter weddings)!
