Baking has had a special place in my heart since I was young. (Probably because I love to eat all things sweet and chocolatey). I actually used to think I was going to grow up and own my own bakery someday haha.
Since starting to eat healthier a year and a half ago, most of my baking follows the THM guidelines: sugar-free and low-carb. I have managed to find many delicious substitutes to various deserts, but certain things can simply cannot be created with out good old white flour and sugar.
One of those things are chocolate croissants. I have been wanting to try my hand at making these ever since watching them be made on the Great British Baking Show (one of my FAVORITE shows ever). I was so fascinated by the intricate process of layering dough and butter to create the fluffy, light, golden layers of heaven that croissants are known for.
These are actually not very hard to make, they just take a lot of time and patience. So what better time to make them then during a pandemic?
If you want to try your hand at them you can use the same recipe as me or find your own! If you do try these for yourself, tag me when you share your final results because I’d love to see what you created!!
Xoxo,
Mary Kate
