I first met Elizabeth when we were maybe 5 or 6 years old. Our families participated in the same homeschooling activities and we soon became good childhood friends. In middle school, Elizabeth’s family moved away to Ohio but our friendship remained intact through letters and social media. We saw each other in person for the first time in years when I met up with Elizabeth and Jon for their engagement photos a little over a year ago. Their wedding date was originally set for last August while I would be across the sea in Europe, but when their date was changed to May 2017, Elizabeth excitedly contacted me again to see if I was available and to both of our joy, I was!
Elizabeth and Jonathan’s wedding was one of the most elegant weddings I’ve had the privilege of witnessing. The gorgeous traditional Latin Mass ceremony, the exquisite flowers, the bagpipe exit, the delicate lace detail on her dress, the adorable band of flower girls, and every detail of the intimate reception in an 18th century historic stone mill made this wedding one for the books.
Elizabeth and Jon, thank you so much for giving me the honor of capturing this incredible day!
xoxo,
Mary Kate
