A few weeks ago, I made the drive up to the stunning Finger Lakes region of New York for Heidi and Nic’s beautiful June wedding. We began the day at their venue, the charming Chantelle Marie Lakehouse, where everyone got ready. One of my favorite moments from the morning was when Heidi asked if we could take some fun portraits of her in the bathtub after she had her dress on — and I’m so glad she did! Those playful shots turned out to be some of my favorites, capturing not only her joyful personality but also the sweet bond she shares with her bridesmaids.
Their wedding ceremony took place at the breathtaking Assumption Church in Syracuse, NY (my jaw definitely dropped when I walked in). The beauty of the space matched the beauty of the moment, especially when Heidi walked down the aisle with her cathedral veil over her face, only lifting it right before their vows. She looked absolutely regal standing at the altar!
After their Nuptial Mass, we returned to the Lakehouse for portraits and their reception. Heidi and Nic wanted a fun variety of images — some outside and some indoors, playing pool and posing by the grand piano — and I love how their gallery reflects their vibrant personalities and style.
Their reception was full of bold florals, charming details, and creative touches — including a bookshelf seating chart and flowers around every corner. It was such a joyful, meaningful celebration, and the perfect setting to celebrate these two!
Heidi and Nic, it was such an honor to photograph your day. I hope you love reliving it through these photos!
Xoxo,
Mary Kate
