Kathleen & Clayton || Shenandoah Valley Farm Wedding

Weddings

This blog post has been long overdue and I’m so excited to finally share it with you all! Kathleen is one of my closest friends from Franciscan University (crazy that we are coming up on 10 years since we first met) and we have dreamt about our weddings and prayed for our future husbands pretty much since the beginning of our friendship! When Clayton unexpectedly entered Kathleen’s life last year, it was almost instantly obvious that this was very different and much more serious than anything else. It has been so amazing to watch their relationship grow over the past year and to see how clearly God designed them for each other. God orchestrated every moment of their love story so tenderly and beautifully and I could not be happier for the two of them!

It was such an honor to photograph Kathleen’s wedding and get to be with her throughout the day from getting ready in her home in Fairfax, to the prayer her and Clayton shared together just minutes before their ceremony, to the Nuptial Mass itself in the beautiful St. Mary of Sorrows Catholic Church, to their reception in an open-air barn with string lights and the Shenandoah mountains in the background.

Kathleen and Clayton, you two are such beautiful witnesses to God’s faithfulness and His love and providential care for each one of us. Thank you for being a shining beacon of hope in this world. I know God will reveal His love through your marriage and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for you two and your new life together.

Xoxo,
Mary Kate
