This stunning winter wedding was an elegant downtown affair at District Winery in the Navy Yard District of Washington DC.
Lauren & Bryan are both kind, humble, and generous people and their wedding day was a reflection of all the things they hold dear: their love for one another and their love for their family, faith, and country.
It was a VERY windy day but thankfully District Winery has several beautiful indoor spots that are perfect for photos. We were able to do their whole first look inside the barrel room which was filled with natural light thanks to the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. It was a private and beautiful space that was the perfect backdrop for photos.
Their ceremony was a short drive away at St. Vincent de Paul’s Catholic Church, originally we were going to take some more portraits outside the steps but because of the wind, we took the photos inside the church instead with the stained glass and I love how they turned out!
After their Nuptial Mass we went back to District Winery and took the rest of the photos along the river before heading inside for the cocktail hour and reception! District Winery is such a unique and cool venue and it made for such fun nighttime photos.
Lauren and Bryan, it was such an honor to be your wedding photographer!
Xoxo,
Mary Kate
