My first wedding of 2025 just so happened to fall on February 14 and it was a pretty fun way to spend Valentine’s Day! Mary Rose and Luke met while working at a Catholic church on Long Island so it was only fitting that they got married in a Catholic church on Long Island.

Their day started at their venue, The Mansion at Timber Point, a beautiful historic estate on the Great South Bay. Per usual, I photographed the girls while Deirdre captured the guys. It was (as you might expect) quite cold, so we did most of our portraits on the beautiful white-paneled staircase in the mansion’s foyer but I’m not complaining at all because it was a gorgeous backdrop!

Mary Rose and Luke were married in a heavenly Nuptial Mass at the stunning St. Patrick’s Church in Bay Shore, NY. I truly felt like I had been transported back to Italy while photographing their Mass! There are a fair amount of photos from their ceremony in this post but I think you’ll understand why once you see the church!

After their ceremony, we returned to the Mansion at Timber Point for the rest of the day! After cocktail hour and bride and groom portraits, it was time for the grand entrance. Mary Rose and Luke had planned a shorter afternoon reception and because of that, they chose to go with various breakfast food stations instead of traditional dinner fare. They had an omelet bar, a crepe station, and a chicken and waffles bar. How fun is that? Another thing they did is that they opened their reception up with a 10-minute dance floor set directly following their entrance. I have seen this a few times and I’ve always loved it. It’s such a fun way to get the party going immediately and get everyone up and moving. It sets a fun and energetic vibe for the rest of the reception!
