Where do I start with this wedding? Nuala & John were married on Labor Day Weekend in Northern New Jersey at one of the most beautiful churches I’ve photographed in, St John’s Catholic Church. Their wedding day fell on the most perfect end of summer/beginning of fall day. The weather was glorious, the sun was spectacular, and everything felt alive and fresh and full of hope and joy.

Nuala had several special details with her, the white ribbon she wrapped around her bouquet was handed down to her from her Grandmother in Ireland. Also, Nuala and her father danced to a fiddle recording of her grandfather who passed away a few years ago. Nuala and John are surrounded by a close-knit community of family and friends which was evident by the amount of help that was lovingly poured into this wedding day. Friends made all the floral arrangements and bouquets, family and friends helped with all the hair and makeup, Nuala made her own veil, loved ones helped decorate the venue, and several talented family members and close friends brought their instruments and played wonderful Irish music at the reception.

Their reception was held at Sylvan Ridge Farms about 40 minutes away in the middle of the countryside in PA. Due to the timing of the day, the sun was low in the sky and giving us the most glorious golden hour as we started portraits. We literally just walked behind the farmhouse and found a path surrounded by Queen Anne’s lace dancing in the golden hues of the setting sun and it was a late summer wedding dream portrait location. To say I’m obsessed with their portraits is a bit of an understatement.
