When Teresa and Andrew started talking to me about what they were hoping for their engagement session, they both said that their ideal location was a very outdoorsy/wooded area during peak fall colors. I suggested Raccoon Creek State Park, which was halfway between us and always a stunning location choice in the fall.

I’ve shot at Raccoon Creek many times now which means I know it like the back of my hand but it also means I’m always trying to find some new and creative space to use each time I shoot there. For Teresa and Andrew’s session, we started at my favorite lakeside spot, and then as we were heading back up the hills to another spot, I decided to randomly pull off at a closed side road I’d never explored before. We walked into what I think is an old abandoned campground part of the park but it is now the most beautiful open field with just a few prominent trees that were just plain showing off their fall splendor. It completely changed the feel of the photos and it was so fun to have yet another new favorite hidden gem to use in this park!

Teresa and Andrew, I can’t wait for your wedding next year! You two are such a fun couple and your wedding is going to be a blast!!
