It might have rained last Saturday (despite not being called for in the forecast) but that didn’t make a difference in the joy that radiated through Teresa and Andrew on their wedding day.

It was evident that God brought these two together and their mutual love for the faith and for each other was a stunning witness to all of us present. Their Nuptial Mass was held at the St. Paul Cathedral in downtown Pittsburgh. This historic church is breathtaking and a such a regal setting for a wedding to take place.

Although it was raining when we were exiting the church, we had just a short walk across the street to the Mellon Institute where we were planning on doing their pictures. Funny enough, there were two other weddings that also were using the same space for their wedding pictures (the rain gave us all limited options for a beautiful covered setting). However, there was more than enough space for all of us and it made for a fun atmosphere as the different wedding couples congratulated each other. Another fun aspect of their wedding party photos was their adorable little nephews (the ring bearers) running around and occasionally being the cutest photo bombers.

Once we wrapped up pictures we headed out of the city to their reception held at the Pittsburgh Marriott North. One of Teresa and Andrew’s priorities was spending time with all the people they hold dear and they did just that by being present during their cocktail hour and spending time at every single table before they sat down and ate their own dinner. They also had the traditional Pittsburgh Cookie Table, but they brought a whole new level to this tradition by having over 350 dozen cookies – yes dozen. That’s about 4000 some cookies, all brought by their family and friends from both sides.

Teresa and Andrew, it has been a gift getting to know you both and a joy to photograph your wedding!
