Somehow it’s January 1st and we have entered a new year once again. (Anyone else totally confused as to where the past year went??). This was a crazy year full of so much change and growing and stretching and traveling… but all of that is for another post. Right now I want to thank each and every one of my couples who entrusted me to photograph their wedding and engagement photos this past year. I never take it for granted nor do I ever forget how huge of an honor and act of trust it is to invite me into one of the most important days of your life, and not just to share in your joy but to document it and preserve for the years to come.

And so, as I like to do every year, it’s time for me to share some (or, ok, maybe a lot) of my favorite wedding and engagement images from this past year.

This year I also thought it would be fun to share a few behind the scenes photos! From becoming a pro at walking backwards (and always checking out for traffic for my dear wedding parties), to holding the bouquets, rings, veils, dresses, the list goes on, to fluffing the wedding dress a million times and hiding in the veil to get that perfect veil shot, to driving the bride to her first look, to climbing up and down the steepest spiral stairs to choir lofts, and absolutely everything in between: this job entails a lot more than one would think. Good thing I love it all!

So many of my weddings this year happened to be good friends of mine which made them all the more special and wonderful! Such a joy it was to celebrate with them while documenting their day!
