Alex and Jarod’s late September wedding started as a very rainy day but thankfully we had a covered location for their first look and by the time we came out of the church after their Nuptial Mass, the rain had disappeared! While I’m grateful we had clear skies for the rest of the day, I am also super happy we got some cozy umbrella portraits in the morning! I always tell people to not be afraid of rain on their wedding day because rainy portraits can be so sweet and romantic!
Alex and Jarod chose to lean heavily into all the fall colors with their overall color scheme for the day and I loved it! Alex chose to have her bridesmaids in a couple of different colors within a red/orange color palette and they came together beautifully!
Their wedding took place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marblehead Ohio with their reception at St. Mary’s Byzantine Church Hall a few minutes down the road. St. Mary’s Byzantine Church is directly on Lake Erie and that meant we were able to get some beautiful lakeside portraits of Alex and Jarod!
Alex and Jarod, thank you so much for trusting me with capturing your gorgeous wedding day!
Xoxo,
Mary Kate
