Amy and Andy’s micro wedding took place in the beautiful Maryland countryside. Amy looked like a bride straight out of a fairy tale with her stunning flowy gown, real flower crown, and her beautiful soft curls. And the flowers, I could not get over their flowers! Huge pink peonies were the star of the florals and they made for breathtaking bouquets.

I have photographed multiple weddings at The Shrine of St Anthony, and it is a joy to be there every time. It is such a picturesque location and has such variety for wedding photos. Amy and Andy opted to do a First Look and so we did it under the arches around the courtyard at the Shrine. It was one of the sweetest First Look’s and tears were flowing everywhere.

After Mass we walked around the Shrine grounds for some of my favorite portraits of the day before heading to Amy’s sister’s house for their intimate backyard reception. Earlier in the day, I asked Amy if there was going to be a lot of details at the backyard reception to have an idea for how much time we would need to spend on photographs, and she said “no, not really, it is just going to be some greenery and candles.” When we pulled up the house and walked around to the backyard, my jaw dropped. String lights were crisscrossed above a gorgeous long wooden table filled with floating candles and it was the most magical backyard setting. I turned to my amazing second photographer (thank you Carina for all your help!) and said “this is a little greenery and candles?” A little later, Amy and Andy danced under the string lights as dusk set in and their closest family and friends watched on. They ended the night eating good food and drinking wine and laughing under the twinkling lights and flickering candles.

Amy and Andy, it was such a joy to photograph your wedding and I enjoyed getting to know you both so much!
