On the Feast of the Annunciation, Caroline, and Max were married in St. Peter’s Catholic Church in downtown Steubenville. It was a surprisingly windy day but the wind was the only hiccup and their venue, the beautiful Williams Golf & Country Club had plenty of beautiful indoor locations where we were able to take the majority of their photos.

We started the day off with the girls at a lovely little airbnb where I was able to spend some time photographing all of Caroline’s beautiful details before it was time for Caroline to get dressed with the help of her sweet Mama. Meanwhile, Deirdre spent some time with Max and his guys while they finished getting ready before it was time for Max and Caroline’s first look.

Originally, the plan was to do their first look outside the beautiful grounds at Williams Country Club, but the ground was wet from the recent rain and the wind was stronger than we were expecting so we pivoted and instead did their first look inside, but it honestly just made it so much more cozy and intimate and was the perfect setting for their private first look!

Once we were done with their first look, we all went back across the river to St. Peter’s where Caroline and Max took some time to pray in the basement while their guests arrived and then it was time to get them married! After their beautiful Nuptial Mass was finished, we had a short break before heading back to their venue for all their portraits before their cocktail hour started.

Shortly before it was time for Deridre and me to leave, Caroline & Max decided to brave the wind to get a few shots outside with the view overlooking the Ohio River as the sun was starting to set among the clouds. I love how these photos turned out despite the wind that was whipping Caroline’s hair and veil all over the place, I think it just adds to the drama of these photos!
