This past weekend’s wedding was such a joy to photograph! Every wedding this year has been effected by Covid, but Catherine is Canadian and so there was an added layer of stress and uncertainty revolving the Canadian/American border. There were so many things up in the air in the weeks leading up to this wedding. There was a major date and location change and the final venue only fell into place a mere week before the wedding (shout out to Iron Lakes Country Club for being so amazing to Catherine and Tom!) I share all of that to explain the joy, relief, and gratitude that was evident on everyone’s faces last Saturday.
Catherine reached out to me in April and we ended up spending over 3 hours talking on the phone. It turns out we have a lot in common and I knew immediately that I was going to love photographing this couple. Even though this past Saturday was the first time we met in person, it felt like we were old friends being reunited and I was right – I had a wonderful time photographing this wedding.
Catherine and Tom, it has been so fun getting to know you two and I am so happy your wedding day was so beautiful and anointed. I hope you enjoy scrolling through your wedding blog post!
Xoxo,
Mary Kate
