“To love another person is to see the face of God.”

This quote by Victor Hugo seems to perfectly sum up Christina and Kevin’s beautiful wedding day. From the moment we walked in the door of Christina’s childhood home, to the moment we waved them goodbye at the end of the night, there was just an overwhelming amount of peace and joy. In the morning, Christina and her mom were both commenting on how incredibly peaceful they all felt and they knew it was because the Lord’s timing is perfect and everything about their wedding was just as God intended it to be.

Although Christina and Kevin both attended Franciscan University at the same time (graduating just one year apart) and despite FUS being a pretty small school, they never crossed paths while students. It would be years later, when Kevin moved to Christina’s hometown for his residency that God would bring these two together. It was beautiful to witness not only their joy in each other and their marriage, but also the joy that comes from the fruit of waiting on the Lord and trusting in His will. And that joy truly does overflow into everyone around you, it’s contagious! As we were leaving at the end of the night, Deirdre and I were both saying that was one of the most joyful celebrations we’ve witnessed at a wedding.

Christina and Kevin were married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and they were the fourth generation in Christina’s family to be married in this church, how amazing is that? Her great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, and now her and Kevin have all stood at the same altar to proclaim their vows and enter into marriage. Their Mass was a beautiful witness to the glory of God and one of the ones where the veil between Heaven and earth feels just a little bit thinner.

Following Mass, we headed over to the Country Club of York for their photos and reception. Deirdre did an amazing job capturing all the reception details while I started on the wedding party outside. After we finished the portraits it was time to get the party started! And as I mentioned above, their reception as so much fun!

Christina and Kevin, thank you SO much for trusting me to document your wedding! You are both amazing people and I am so grateful God brought you two together!
