Last weekend on one of the hottest May days, Carissa and David became husband and wife. A record high heat wave (for May) decided to blow through the north eastern side of the US and we had temps soaring over 95 degrees on Saturday. Despite the heat (and the fact that Carissa and David specifically chose a May wedding date to avoid the extreme heat of summer days) everything went so perfectly all day long!

We started the day off at All About You Hair Salon where Carissa had all her details ready for me while she finished having her hair and makeup done. The atmosphere was so calm and joyful and really set the tone for the whole day!

Carissa and David were married at Carissa’s home parish, St. Columba Catholic Church, in Bloomsburg PA. Their ceremony was sweet and beautiful and filled with so much joy. Their little ring bearer was so cute and proud to carry the ring box down and hand it to the priest during the vows. Following their ceremony we headed outside to the grounds of the Basilica of Saints Cyril and Methodiustake to take all their wedding party photos and bride and groom portraits. Carissa had grown up going on retreats here and the sisters who live here were more than happy to have Carissa and David take their photos on the property grounds. are surrounded by amazing friends and family who are all so supportive and loving and they were all troopers in the heat!

Their reception took place at the Pine Barn Inn which was a beautiful venue and Carissa had designed all the elements of the reception herself and it was gorgeous! She pulled everything together so beautifully! They ended the night with a sparkler exit and custom mini wine bottle favors featuring their dog on the front of each mini bottle. Isn’t that the cutest idea?
