On the last weekend of April, Katie and Sean had a true fairy tale wedding: complete with a sparkling ballgown, dozens of candles, crystal glasses, and a knight in shining armor.

Katie & Sean were married at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wheeling with their reception at Oglebay Resort. Alaina from Soiree by Souleret was their wedding planner and she was a wonderful help throughout the whole day. She also put together the entire reception space and did an incredible job! It seriously took my breath away when I walked into the room.

When we were in the planning stages for their wedding, Sean told Alaina and me that he planned to surprise Katie on the wedding day by changing into an authentic suit of armor and taking Katie down to the stables at Oglebay for photos with the horses there. We weren’t sure exactly how this would turn out logistically, but it all went perfectly and Katie was completely shocked and so so excited. She kept saying that this was the best big romantic gesture she could ask for. Sean then decided to keep the suit of armor on the rest of the evening which made for such a fun atmosphere at the reception and definitely aided in the fairytale vision that they had going on.
