In June I had the pleasure of kicking off the summer wedding season by second shooting for the amazing Carina of Carina Danielle Photography. It was the perfect way to get back into the swing of weddings. I love filling in my spare weekends with second shooting because I get to form such great relationships with fellow photographers and fine-tune my skill without the pressure of being the main shooter. I don’t share every wedding I second shoot but occasionally there’s one that’s too beautiful not to share and this was definitely one of those. 

Kayla and Jonathon are two incredibly sweet souls who love Jesus and each other deeply and their entire wedding day reflected their beautiful faith and love. Kayla’s love for succulents and animals was evident throughout the details of their wedding from the flower piece in her hair to all the stunning details at their reception. I was blown away by their barn reception – so many twinkle lights and greenery and much more natural light than you typically find in a barn reception. It was a dream to shoot in! 

It was such a joy and honor to work for Carina on this wedding!
