Earlier this week I met up with Meredith & Romeo in Old Ellicott City for their engagement session. We had absolutely beautiful weather, sunny and 50 degrees and we had a grand time walking around the main street of what might be the cutest historic town in Maryland. (To be fair, I haven’t been to that many historic towns in Maryland, but I claim this nonetheless.)
Meredith was actually a bridesmaid with me in my cousin Teresa’s wedding last November and it was so fun to be photographing her this time! Meredith and Romeo met through mutual friends at a swing dancing place called Mobtown in Baltimore. Meredith says that she noticed Romeo immediately because of his contagious smile and because he was the most fun person to talk with. Although they started talking and dancing together frequently, it was a whole before they officially “talked” and started their relationship.
Last May Romeo proposed after a night out at a fancy restaurant. My favorite detail is that he proposed with Meredith’s grandmother’s ring (which he had received from her parents when he asked their blessing). How special is that??
Meredith and Romeo, I had such a fun time exploring Old Ellicott City with you and I am so excited for your wedding this summer!
Xoxo,
Mary Kate
[…] Meredith & Romeo were married in Ellicott City, MD a few weeks ago. Although they were forced to change their plans and rearrange elements of the day because of the coronavirus their wedding was a gorgeous combination of elegance and 1920s glamour. […]
