When Samantha and Will asked to do their session along Skyline Drive, I was envisioning sunshine and beautiful mountain top views. We didn’t have the option of rescheduling and so when I saw rain was on the forecast, I quickly reassured Samantha and WIll that they would get amazing photos no matter what the weather did. When we woke up on the morning of their session to heavy and dense fog, I was initially slightly nervous because I’d never photographed in such intense fog before. But I was also excited because it was a challenge and it pushed me to be creative in a different way. As we began to climb up into the mountains the fog became UNREAL.

And oh my goodness. These photos are the definition of epic (at least in my book). There is something so incredibly dramatic about these images and they are definitely some of my favorites from this year so far!

Samantha and Will, thank you so much for trusting me and for being willing to traipse through the fog for all these photos!

Right at the very end of their session, the fog briefly rolled away to give us a hint of the mountains around us which was the perfect ending to this session!
