Sammy & Will || Breathtaking New England Catholic Wedding

Weddings

Our last wedding of June was an absolutely stunning day in Waterbury Connecticut with Sammy and Will.

Sammy & Will met at Franciscan University and share a mutual deep love for Christ and the Catholic Church. This was so clearly evident on their wedding day from every aspect of their Nuptial Mass, to the Catholic elements they incorporated in their details, to the beautiful toasts that were shared about them at the reception.

Their day started off at an airbnb with all the ladies. Everyone was so happy, excited, and peaceful and I could tell it was going to be a wonderful day! Sammy had her mom and sisters help her get dressed before doing a reveal with the rest of her bridesmaids. Sammy’s whole style is so elegant and timeless and her mom kept saying “she literally looks like she stepped right out of a magazine” and that could not be a truer statement. One of my favorite details about Sammy’s look was her Lilia Cass Ceremonial flowy chiffon top that she wore over her gown. The sleeves and bow in the back were just SO beautiful and classy.

Their wedding Mass was at Sammy’s childhood parish, the amazing Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Goodness is this church stunning. It’s one of those churches that you can’t help but keep gazing up at all the details. Directly after Mass it started raining but thankfully we were able to get some portraits under the covered portion right outside the front pillars of the church as well as some umbrella shots which all turned out so romantic! However, we didn’t have a great option for their whole wedding party so we decided to just head to the reception which was twenty minutes away and pray that the rain would stop while we drove. God answered those prayers because as we pulled into the reception the rain stopped completely and never came back which meant we were able to get all their wedding party photos outside and some more portraits of Sammy and Will later on in the evening.

Sammy and Will, it has been such a joy getting to know you both and an honor to document your wedding day!

Xoxo,
Mary Kate
