When Torie & Matt first reached out to me early last year, they described their vision for their wedding: a day centered on their Nuptial Mass followed by a whimsical garden-themed reception. I think after scrolling through this post you will have to agree with me that Torie and Matt accomplished their vision!

Both Torie and Matt are native Clevelanders and met in Catholic Young Adult circles in Cleveland, so it was only fitting that they were married in one of their city’s most beautiful and ornate churches. The Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus is covered in intricate details in every direction you look. (It’s one of those churches where you have to take a minute to sit and soak it all in.) And so it made for an absolutely beautiful location for their Nuptial Mass!

After their ceremony, we braved the cold for some pictures in a few metro parks along the way to their reception. Despite the possibility of mud and the chilly temperatures, Torie and Matt trusted me and were willing to stop along the side of the road near a creek for what turned out to be some of my favorite photos from the day! It’s truly a gift to work with couples who trust me completely and are willing to be a little adventurous and spontaneous!

Their reception was held at the banquet hall at St. Sava’s Church and the teams from Fairytale Rents & Cleveland Uplighting truly did a spectacular job bringing Torie’s dreams of an enchanted garden reception to life! One of the most special parts about Torie and Matt’s reception was that Matt’s dad and uncles opened up the dance floor by reforming their old polka band for a one-night special.
