Cahara & Aidan’s June wedding in the mountains of Georgia was a summer garden party dream and an absolute delight to be a part of! These two share such a beautiful love story, and you can see just how much they adore one another in every glance they exchange.

While this was actually my second time photographing a wedding at Yonah Mountain Vineyards, it was my first time seeing the property lush and green since the first wedding I photographed here several years ago was in December! The North Georgia mountains are spectacular, and their outdoor ceremony took place on a picturesque hilltop overlooking the vineyards with the mountains rising behind them, talk about a perfect setting for a wedding!

Just as the guests began arriving to the ceremony site, storm clouds rolled in, and we weren’t quite sure what the weather had in store for us. However, it ended up being absolutely perfect! A few light sprinkles fell just as the ceremony began, accompanied by a glorious breeze that cooled everyone down. Then, halfway through, the sun broke back through the clouds as if on cue.

After the ceremony, I hopped on a golf cart with Cahara & Aidan while Deirdre headed back down the hill with the guests for cocktail hour in the garden. Earlier in the day, I’d spent some time scouting portrait locations, and having the golf cart gave us the freedom to explore some of the most beautiful spots tucked throughout the property.

Their colorful, vibrant garden party theme carried seamlessly into the reception, making it feel as though we had brought the garden indoors. From the blue and pink floral tablecloths to the greenery and rose-lined staircase, to the little butterflies waiting on every table, every detail was perfect. One of my favorite details they had was a white phone booth in the garden where guests could leave a voicemail for their guestbook. It was SO cute and so fun to see guests using it all evening!

Cahara & Aidan made their grand entrance from the top of the staircase with confetti cannons, which was SO much fun and immediately set the tone for an evening full of joyful celebration! One of my favorite things about their day was how unapologetically true to themselves they were. They weren’t interested in having a huge dance party, so after a little time on the dance floor, the evening shifted to karaoke and a raffle. I had never photographed karaoke at a wedding before, but it was an absolute hit! Everyone was laughing, singing, and having the best time.

As twilight settled over the vineyard, the garden twinkle lights came on, and we slipped outside for a few final portraits by the outdoor fireplace. The moon was shining brightly overhead, and I absolutely love that we were able to capture it in a few of their photographs. It was the perfect, peaceful ending to such a joyful day.

Cahara & Aidan, it has truly been such a joy getting to know you both, and it was an honor to document your wedding day. I hope these photographs always bring you right back to the love, laughter, and joy you shared with your family and friends as you began this beautiful new chapter together.
