Ireland is a country that I’ve heard about since I was little, that I’ve seen stunning scenery from in movies, that family members have visited and raved about, and that I have wanted to see for a very long time. It was surreal to be heading to Europe four months ago and even more surreal to spend my first week in the breathtakingly beautiful country of Ireland.

I took way too many pictures to share them all but here are a “few” of my favorites.

This lake is the one from the wedding scene in “Leap Year”:

It may just seem like there are random ruins on the cliff behind us, but legend has it that the McDonnell clan lived in this ruined castle in the 16th century before part of the kitchen fell in into the sea.
