At the end of August, Maeve and John were married at the place that brought them together: Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. While I’ve been to Emmitsburg many times (I actually grew up just about an hour from here!), I had never been to the Immaculate Conception Chapel on campus before, and it is SO beautiful!
I am so glad Maeve and John chose my Aurora editing style because it was absolutely perfect with their blush pink and navy blue color scheme and the rich blue-green of the Blue Ridge Mountains. After their Nuptial Mass, we took some of their portraits outside the IC Chapel on campus before heading to their reception venue, Springfield Manor, for the rest of their photos. With the beautiful mountains in the background, it was such a perfect spot for portraits!
As we finished their portraits at the venue, cocktail hour began outside in the fountain courtyard. Maeve and John wanted to spend some of their cocktail hour mingling with their guests, which gave me the perfect opportunity to head inside and photograph all of the details in the main reception space.
Their reception was filled with laughter, dancing, special family moments, and a packed dance floor— essentially everything I love most about wedding receptions! It was such a joyful day celebrating Maeve and John and the beginning of their marriage.
Maeve & John, thank you so much trusting me with photographing your beautiful wedding!

Xoxo,
Mary Kate
A huge thank you to all the other vendors who came together to make this day possible!
