On an absolutely beautiful Saturday in July, Mary & Gabriel were married in one of Pittsburgh’s most iconic churches: St. Mary of the Mount. This historic church sits atop Mt. Washington looking out at the Pittsburgh Skyline and I’ve been hoping to photograph a wedding here for quite some time!

The sky blue color of the bridesmaids’ dresses popped against the skyline making Grandview Overlook not only the most convenient spot for their portraits (being across the street from their church) but also the most aesthetically pleasing choice as well!

I’ve known Mary for quite a few years as we were household sisters at Franciscan University (similar to sorority sisters) and it was such a joy to photograph her wedding and witness the love her and Gabriel share. They have a beautiful love story that is a testament to God’s generous providence and love and it’s so evident that they were made for each other!

Their reception at The Terrace at Hyatt House in Southside was also the perfect setting for them! The tent with string lights overlooking the river was an idyllic summer wedding vibe and made for the most romantic reception photos.
