Rachel & Brett’s elegant black & white wedding took place in their hometown of Rockford, IL. Rachel’s vision for the day came together beautifully with the girls wearing champagne dresses and carrying simple white bouquets. Rachel held a bouquet of pure white roses and wore a gorgeous fitted off-the-shoulder gown that fit her perfectly. Brett’s timeless black suit complemented Rachel well and it all came together to be the picture of classy modern elegance.
They were married in the Cathedral of St. Peter, the same church where Rachel’s parents were married years ago. We even recreated a few of her parents’ wedding portraits in the church after their Nuptial Mass!
After their Mass we went off and took all their portraits and my goodness, you guys, these two are SO photogenic! This post is definitely a little portrait-heavy but I mean, how could I not include so many when they all turned out this well?
Their reception took place at the Hoffman House and highlights included a sparkler entrance (and exit!), an emotional first dance, a special late-night pizza delivery (because it’s their favorite food, so of course it had to make an appearance), and a truly epic dance party!
Rachel and Brett, it was such an honor to photograph your wedding!!
Xoxo,
Mary Kate
