Taylor & Trong || A Warren Center Wedding

Weddings

Taylor and Trong met several years ago while serving as Lifeteen summer missionaries the same summer at Camp Covecrest in Tiger, GA. Their friendship did not immediately turn into a relationship but once it did, there was no turning back. As God’s providence would have it, they each were attending colleges a mere 45 minutes apart (Taylor at Franciscan University in Steubenville Ohio and Trong at Duquesne in downtown Pittsburgh) which allowed their relationship to grow without struggling through the pains of long-distance too much.

I have been blessed to know Taylor for several years as we worked for the women’s ministry at FUS together and it has been wonderful to get to know Trong over the past year, first at their engagement session, and then as we prepared for their wedding. Their wedding was a simple yet elegant affair and truly reflected them as a couple. They opted for a first look behind the church shortly before the ceremony where Trong handed Taylor a love letter he had written and they enjoyed a few minutes alone to prepare for what they were about to do. After a few portraits, Trong headed inside the Church and Taylor’s bridesmaids and household sisters came out and prayed over her ending in singing her household’s song. Inside the Church, Trong’s groomsmen formed a similar circle around him and lifted him in prayer. Surrounded by the love and prayers of their loved ones, Taylor and Trong proclaimed their vows in a truly stunning wedding Mass celebrated in the historic St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hopkinton, MA and then it was time to celebrate at the gorgeous Warren Center in the nearby, Ashland MA.

It was such a joy and privilege to photograph Taylor & Trong’s stunning New England wedding last weekend. I actually drove up to Massachusetts on Thursday in order to photograph their traditional Viatanemese Tea on Friday (which will be its own blog post!) and I loved spending the entire weekend in New England. New England holds a special place in my heart and I love basically everything about it. And the weather could not have been more glorious on Friday and Saturday, seriously stunning! It was about 80 degrees with no humidity (PRAISE), and sunny all weekend with the most perfect and gentle breeze.

Taylor and Trong, thank you for allowing me to capture your sacred day! Congratulations and I hope you enjoy scrolling through these highlights from your wedding!

Xoxo,
Mary Kate
