Colleen & Bryce’s May wedding was such a delight to be a part of! Everything fell into place pretty last minute for me to be able to photograph their wedding, and it even worked out for us to squeeze in a last-minute engagement session just six days before the big day!
Deirdre helped me with this wedding, and our day started, per usual, split between the ladies and the gents. I stayed at the hotel with the girls while Deirdre met up with the guys at an Airbnb directly across from their church (pro Catholic wedding tip: if you have the option to rent an Airbnb on the same street as your church the night before your wedding, do it!).
Colleen and Bryce wanted to share a first look before their ceremony, so we made sure to arrive at the church with plenty of time to spare. There was a glass walkway connecting the narthex to some additional meeting space, which turned out to be the perfect spot for their first look (and for Colleen’s reveal with her dad). We even had a few extra minutes for Colleen to spend time with her flower girls and twirl around in their dresses.
Their Nuptial Mass was held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg, PA. The interior of the church was recently renovated to draw the faithful closer to God through the truth, beauty, and goodness reflected in every detail, and it was truly a stunning setting for their wedding day.
Their reception was held at nearby Whitetail Ski Resort, which initially proved to be a bit of a challenge photo-wise. A ski resort in the spring and summer means lots of empty equipment cluttering up the mountainside! Thankfully, I was able to position them in a way that hid the parking lot and highlighted the mountains across the street instead, and I absolutely love how those portraits turned out.
Easily my favorite photos of the day are their sunset portraits. During some downtime at dinner, I explored a little more of the property and found a tucked-away grassy area that I knew would be perfect. We were gifted the most beautiful pastel cotton-candy skies, and the setting could not have been more perfect for my Aurora style that they had chosen.
Colleen and Bryce, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day!

Xoxo,
Mary Kate
