A few months ago I stopped in Cincinnati on my way to a wedding in Indiana and I was able to photograph Samantha & Clay’s engagement session. Although we all went to FUS together, we didn’t really know each and so their engagement session was the first time we were able to hang out and strike up a friendship. I have been excitedly counting down the days to their wedding ever since!

Cincinnati is “their” city. It’s the city where they fell in love and where they got engaged and so it was only fitting that it was also the city where they were married. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful. The weather was gorgeous, the park they picked for their portraits was perfect, and there was an overwhelming amount of joy throughout the whole day.

A couple highlights of the day included when Samantha’s mom started crying gently as she zipped her baby girl in her wedding dress. Then a few minutes later when Samantha’s father came out to see her for the first time and the tears flowed again. There was the moment when Samantha & Clay were praying together behind a door and Samantha sneaked a peak through the frosted glass at her soon to be hubby. And when Samantha was prayed over by her household sisters minutes before walking down the aisle and there were so many joyful tears and excited giggles. It was clear from their family and friend’s that this wedding day was long anticipated and rejoiced in.
